Faith's Victory, Part II (March 9, 2010) Faith is one of my sisters in Christ who has won her final victory. She has gone from this life to the next! And at her funeral celebration, Faith's sister, Carol, shared a remarkable story. Carol traveled a long distance to come and see Faith, knowing that Faith's remaining time on earth was short. She arrived late in the night, and planned to see Faith first thing in the morning. After falling asleep exhausted, Carol had a dream. The phone was ringing. Carol answered it. It was Carol's sister, sounding not weak, but strong and full of spirit! "Carol? This is Faith! Just want you to know I am home, and I FEEL GREAT!" Carol was amazed at the enthusiasm she heard in Faith's voice. Suddenly Carol was awakened from her dream. Her phone really was ringing. She had to think for a moment to remember where she was, but then she answered the phone. Faith's daughter was on the line. She was calling to let Carol know that Faith had passed away several minutes ago. Instead of feeling sad, Carol felt an overwhelming peace. Although she did not see her sister alive, Carol had been given a beautiful gift. A timely dream revealed Faith's joyous victory. Faith was home, and feeling great! Victory in life, and victory over death. What an uplifting witness of grace. 1 Corinthians 15:54, "But when this perishable will have put on the imperishable, and this mortal will have put on immortality, then will come about the saying that is written, 'Death is swallowed up in victory.'"
