Tapestry (March 4, 2010) Life is amazing. I am thinking about the complex, organic whole. Finances and vocation, fun and recreation. Relationships, stewardship. Adversity and blessing. Mind, body, spirit. What an unpredictable, infinitely unique tapestry! How does it all hold together? Certain threads fray, and need to be reinforced. Varied threads are bright and beautiful, while others offer substance without show or color. New threads and textures are introduced in different seasons of life. And every thread matters. Each contributes to the whole. Day by day, thread by thread, the shuttle flies! Life is constantly changing, intricate in detail. Overwhelming? Only when I fail to entrust each detail to the Lord of all, the Master of the tapestry. He makes all things beautiful! Weave me, Lord. Psalm 139:13-14, "For Thou didst form my inward parts; Thou didst weave me in my mother's womb. I will give thanks to Thee, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; wonderful are Thy works, and my soul knows it very well."
